Invisalign Teeth Straightening
Invisalign is a relatively new introduction to the world of general dentistry. It not only allows general dentists to perform the treatment but also makes it very easy to straighten your teeth without bands, brackets or wires.
Invisalign is a virtually invisible solution allowing the patient to feel comfortable to smile, during as well as after treatment. It involves wearing a series of clear, removable aligners (trays) which are changed every two weeks. Each aligner is slightly different to the one before meaning that with each change, your teeth are moved in to that new position. Because all aligners are removable, patients can eat and drink as normal and brush and floss as normal in order to keep your teeth and gums healthy.
While Invisalign is a great alternative to regular orthodontics there are some movements that are outside its capabilities in which case your dentist will refer you on to an orthodontist.
