Dr Russell Fine BSc BDSc

Dr Russell Fine was born in Cardiff, Wales in 1971. He moved to Perth with his parents when he was 12 years old.

Russell graduated from UWA in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and 1996 with a Bachelor of Dental Science.

In December 2006 Russell married Jennifer, a Music Teacher, and they have two young sons, Alex and Max. They live nearby in Booragoon.

Russell has owned Booragoon Dental Clinic since June 2000.

Since graduating from Dental School, Dr Fine has maintained a keen interest in continuing education, especially in the field of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Fine has completed various advanced training courses in the surgical placement of osseointegrated titanium implants and bone grafting as well as the prosthodontic management and restoration of dental implants.

He is a current member of the Australian Osseointegration Society and has been Treasurer and Secretary of the WA Chapter of the Society. He is also a member of the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the International Team for Implantology.

Dr. Fine also maintains an interest in Cosmetic Dentistry including teeth whitening, porcelain veneers and Invisalign. He is a regular attendee at continuing education seminars and conventions locally, nationally and overseas.

Outside of work, Russell is a keen cook and gardener, and likes spending spare time with family and friends, and drinking good wine.


David O'Dowling BDSc NUI Hons.

Dr David O’Dowling joined our practice in early 2008 after working in both Queensland and his home town in Ireland.

Dr O’Dowling has a special interest in both cosmetic and restorative work, difficult extractions and oral surgery, having received awards in these area’s from the National University of Ireland (University College of Cork), where he graduated with honours.

Since being in Australia, Dr O’Dowling has actively contributed to his continuing education. For the past 2 years he has been certified in Surgical Implant Dentistry.

Outside of work, he is a keen sportsman, playing rugby union, water polo and competing in swimming. In the past, Dr O’Dowling has represented Ireland at Senior National Level in swimming.
